Very generous of IBM to do that. Until the whole mess of patent system is resolved or cleared out, I think FOSS should patent its technology innovations and implementations but opened under the GPL. Those who don't play by the rules established and guided by the GPL or want to be trouble makers are better to stay out and not use these technologies, otherwise, they will risk the consequences of being sued. |
