"Gates' visit comes at a time when Microsoft's domination is very much being eroded," said Javed Tapia, head of Linux vendor Red Hat's India operations. "This time, we have a lot of success stories to show him." http://www.toptechnews.com/story.xhtml?story_id=011000009ERC

I find some things in life really odd. I worked with a friend who had a development firm in Bangalore. One of my partners at the time hired him to do some programming for us. I made one stipulation: he had to host the first Linux Documentation Project in India.

"Oh no, India will never go with Linux....I be telling you," he said. But it was a stipulation of a $50,000 contract and he did it. "I be telling you, by jove, people in Bharat desh love Linux now Girrish!"

Funny, Dave published the press release when he had LT. LDP was hosted on an IIS server and we more or less hated that.
