Microsoft is losing its dominant position. The business and educational world is where the future platforms are chosen and forged. It seems that the choice has fallen on GNU/Linux.

Microsoft will adapt. They've always done that. It's one of their virtues. As soon as Bill and Steve retire (and they manage to get some decent and ethical management), MS might become one of the "Good Guys", just like IBM did after their "reign of terror".
