On just about everything other than Windows and DOS, when you delete a file that's in use, it's simply unlinked from the directory tree, and disappears for good when the program using it closes it.

Windows' locking behaviour is something I hate most about Windows. Probably half of all my Windows complaints are filesystem related.

Ah this is pure classics, one of those stories you have fun reading if you use GNU/Linux. ;)

It was that nearly un-removable trait inherent to all Windows systems that sealed the deal for me. No matter what I did, I could not keep it clean of mal-ware and could not keep it from saving absolutely everything I did.

Even if you only use Windows marginally it will grow, and continue to grow the longer you use it. Now like you Libervis, get to laugh at articles like these.

When I say you are deleted, you are deleted!
