I've run Crossover 4.2 and if you really need a basic MS office (without Access), or something like Adobe Photoshop, it's not bad. It's really not good at much more than that, and despite their claims, I don't see the list of other successfully run programs expanding much in 5.01.

I know a number of other people who have been very disappointed when their specialized Windows program wouldn't run in the Crossover/wine environment. It's not a universal panacea, and, you have to stick very close to a 'standard' Windows app for this to work. Crossover, and wine still have a long way to go.

I really don't see emulation, of any type, being any kind of long term solution. I'd prefer (and have decided) to find native Linux replacements for everything I used to use in the MS environment, and, the replacement of MS Access with Knoda was the final one I needed.
