While the article played up the Safari vulnerabilities, I think the BOM ArchiveHelper Heap Overflow is more serious (used to uncompress .zip files). Safari can be avoided by simply using Firefox or Opera, but most people won't bother to replace the built-in zip utility. Hopefully, this will push Apple into fixing the issues quickly.

The article didn't say if the same bug is in konquerer. Safari is based on konqui.
