This is just stupid. IBM wants to embrace and brag about Linux, but they embarass themselves by posting articles about how to connect to one of their flagship products with only Windows PHP, not Linux PHP, because like major duh, you can't connect to COM objects on Linux (nor would you want to do so).

Surely IBM will see the light and do the right thing:

* Open Source Lotus

* Quit selling it -- make it free and make money off everything else. It turns the product into an idea virus that sells more tech support, training, and consulting gigs.

* In a two server situation (local and remote), with local being Linux, create an API so that anyone can connect to Lotus Domino from Linux no matter what the remote platform is hosted on, whether it be AIX, Linux, or Windows. No more COM objects!
