PuTTY, FireFox and OpenOffice together are something of a life-line (hurrah for TheOpenCD!). More so because I don't have to constantly count licence numbers as I add them. And leave them in place. Add a local X service — http://www.straightrunning.com/XmingNotes/ — and I can then temporarily pretend to have real facilities to hand. |
