Finally, something that we agree with ;-) Oracle touts it's self to be the premier heavy duty extendable database for Business Enterprise. We have no Idea how long these holes have existed in the system. I saw nothing indicating exactly what has been patched, and, we have no idea how many more bugs and holes still exist. Oh yeah, that's the database I want in my business. Truly 'Enterprise worthy'... |

jimf, While I'm glad we agree with regards to Oracle's bits, I'm not sure you fully understand that this "black box" scenario applies to all software that is non-free. Perhaps I'm wrong but I tend to think you'd stop using non-free wares all together if you understood that the freedom to scrutinize is fundamental to the success of the human experiment. |
