I'm another "all in one" owner/user, and this year HP has finally supplied (or Debian finally redistributed) their all-in-one manager software to Linux.

I'm very pleased. It uses sane (xsane, etc) as the scanner back-end, helps define the printer for CUPS, works great. Except for the fact that I haven't tried printing photographs on 5x7 photo-sized paper, I'd say that everything works.

The longer I go, the less advantage I see in Windows for _anything_. Photo printing is, or rather was, the last reason I would boot my wife's Win2K machine for my own use.
