Quoting:Sounds like the winds of change are blowing around the Windy City. Now, if we can just convince Oracle to go FOSS... - dcparris

That sounds as unlikely as the release of Java under the GPL...

The name "windy" came from the way the city talked up the Columbian Exposition of 1893. All the critics said it was just a lot of hot air, but the World's Fair ended up living up to its billing. Chicago can get windy, but not like Nebraska or Kansas.

Don, you should still see this kind of wind when you read the stuff Paul and I write!

:)

Seriously, I like these kinds of stories. Showing that FOSS and proprietary solutions can work hand in hand. It puts a stop to a lot of the FUD that people try to spread. If I had any city connections, I might apply for a job!

I did have connections, but, have always been glad I didn't use them. Payback in Chicago Politics involves more than a little piece of one's soul.

Yes.

Its not the sulfur content in the Illinois coal that causes that smell.

Bwaaa haaa haaa!
