We use VNC on our windows servers - the enterprise version with AD authentication functionality.

I use the windows VNC enterprise viewer on my linux workstation with wine and it works a treat!

I also use vnc client on linux to access windoze, but the vnc shipped by the vendor does everything I need, since I only access windoze for a couple legacy apps, and do all of my real work on a full-blown linux desktop.

VNC is great, no question about it
