I just had another thought. I tend to recycle my older machines (I build them all so they don't come with windows anyway) to people like my mum. There is a plan to pass one on to my 80+ year old aunt. It will be running linux.

These are people who can't afford a modern spec' machine the likes of which are required to run Windows Vista. Hence the less well off of that sort won't be able to benefit from the service.

Well, of course they won't, but let's look at that...

'Benefit' and 'service' are already oxymoron's when referring to anything from MS. So, right off the bat, MS & the BBS are doing the underprivileged a big favor. Save them money and drive them toward Linux. And, TV isn't good for you anyway... Now that's real philanthropy.
