Seriously, thanks for your article. I hope some exec. types read it and realize one can have a successful business based on open source products.

I don't use Red Hat. I looked at it while back and never used it again. It was mainly because they consistently ignored KDE.

But I quite agree that they are the only "pure" Open Source company.

Red Hat should actively be more involved in the desktop market for the consumer and enterprise.

Currently, Novell & consequently MS, are trying to dominate the Linux Desktop in the enterprise. Red Hat should be more active than ever before it is too late. To lead server market is not enough. We all have seen how MS dominated the desktop and eventually infiltrated to the server market.
