Fix Google Earth, dagnabbit!

As of the most recent release, google earth still won't start with hardware acceleration with ATI's drivers.

As best I can tell, it has something to do with something being incorrectly implemented in the drivers, not in Google Earth, or at least that's the impression I get from what I can see from poking around online.

Well, google earth works fine here on my linux systems - with either nvidia or onboard intel 945G - so by process of elimination I suspect the ATI drivers, which are a well known source of various other issues for linux users.

Was Google Earth one of those things they packaged with WINE for Linux, or no?

Google Earth is a native linux app - OTOH that picasa thing is a wine app...
