Use of "sic"

Since you are being pedantic by using sic you should use it correctly. The use of sic here is, most definitely, not correct -- unless your universe is confined to the Continental 48.

What makes you think Alaska and Hawaii are different? :)

I assume this was in reference to socialise. Rht is correct, it is a recognized British spelling, and the event did take place in Scotland.
