The writer complains about the desktop being KDE, they could have used the GNOME version instead. Other than that, they seem to have got it mostly right.

The poorly labled applications and the, often, lack of descriptive material is a pain. Hardware detection is excellent, and I've managed to run Mandriva (even when it was Mandrake) on almost everything I've tried it on, some older machines excepted. But as the writer states there are some really good friendly bits interspersed with really horrible bits (where they've made the easy really difficult - must be a French thing).

Other than that, I wouldn't use anything else.
