According to Dell, their expectations were exceeded, but they seem to be offering some choices other than Ubuntu.

Can you give us some more detail? I know Dell offers other distributions, but as far as I know only on the business desktop. Ubuntu and FreeDOS are the only one shipping on home user systems. Did I miss something?

They [will|already?] sell SUSE in the Chinese market and according to an interview with Dell's chief (LinuxWorld, video up on YouTube), this seems like part of a strategy, but you have to really beg for the clues.

Lenovo already certifies for Ubuntu, Fedora, and SUSE.
