Falko Timme just made my life better! If you don't know about dmidecode just read the article and enjoy. If you did know about this you should have told me a long time ago.

I'm sorry. I learned about it some months ago and didn't tell you. I will punish me by letting my beer get warm before drinking it.

It is a great little utility, and it's on the awsome SystemRescueCD, which I think is the champion of all bootable rescue Linuxes. Haven't found anything yet it can't do. Except chill beer.

Very very cool! I went root in a shell, punched it in and BAM! Hardware info to my hearts desire. Easy on the eyes and mind as advertised too.

I'm so glad I don't know everything; I like learning new stuff. I'm gonna have to add that one to the 'repertoire'..

Scott, wait until you discover debugfs.

Just don't "cat /debug/usbmon/0u" (it always panics my system).
