You can see "races to the bottom" in many smaller markets (not sure that's the correct word). For example, text editors. Anything (cough*vi*cough) that a howler monkey can't walk up an use without any instruction whatsoever is considered Just Too Hard. Races to the bottom by the Pee Cee punditocracy in the 80s led us to the situation of MSFT dominance, really. |
