Many of us have made these same points for a decade or more. Business has been really slow on the uptake and is still distrustful of FOSS. They don't understand it and are more comfortable with a proprietary model. The economic crisis/recession/depression/whatever this is has helped matters some, but mostly because of price, not because business understands all the benefits. Don't get me wrong, this is a very good article and these points need to be repeated until they sink in. |
