I may have been hiding under a rock or something and this is old news, but this just seems cool to me.

Next thing they'll be implementing TCP-over-SATA-over-FireWire-over-Ethernet.

You forgot the -over-the-Rainbow part, gus3.

While it does seem somewhat esoteric, if Oracle decides to abandon VirtualBox then having a way to do USB over IP is going to be a great way for the OSE version of VB to get to the USB hardware XYZ PDQ.

OK?

Warning: TLA overload...

According to some tech experts, the biggest danger in the near future isn't DRM or patents or anything like that, but the fact that there are only 17,576 TLA's and we're running out...

Sander, we ran out a long time ago.

Yes we ran out of TLA's, but we didn't have an available TLA to summarize the running out of TLA's, so the tech community was unable to communicate the situation to the world at large.

Otherwise it would have been on slashdot. Three times in a week.

TLA's, just like patents, should expire.

I propose a term of 3 days, so we can have Three Day TLA's, let's call them TDT's.

Apart from that: Isn't this 'USB over IP' thing what Plan9 intended?
