I can't read this article on my computer at work (in Firefox at 1024x768 resolution), because the text and images are cut-off at the right side of the column (mid-sentence, mid-word, and even mid-letter) and there's no right-left scroll bar. I don't know if it displays better at higher resolutions, but I suspect that the problem may be caused by the width of the article's images.

Works fine for me at 1280x800.

I have to stretch my Konqueror out left-right to not get the same overlapping.

The graphics are static-sized, and all but the TurboPrint are more than 700 in width. This is what is causing the error in wrapping, as the LXer side-bar on the right is also static sized and overlaps.

The same thing happens when someone puts in a comment URL that is "too long" and causes the main text body to render as larger than the display window minus the static right-side-bar.

No left-right scroll bar comes up either, which is the greatest annoyance.

If the graphics that are displayed by default could be scaled back to 500 wide, rather than 700+, maybe as links to the full sized graphic, that would solve it.

Its always something isn't it? And if I put links to the original pics I would have heard about where I was hosting them..ugh.

This isn't much fun - but you can copy the text and paste it into a text editor and let that wrap for you.

Yeah, I knew that I could copy/paste the article, but: 1. I didn't know if it would be worth the trouble. and 2. I don't have time to visit thousands of LXer's readers and copy/paste it for each of them.

Is it OK if I insert small images? Like in http://lxer.com/module/newswire/lf/view/139731/ ?

I have to admit, in Chrome with the 'Hover zoom' extension installed and the 'Allow access to file URLs' checked the pic links auto load the image and it pops up full size looking all pretty and stuff..;-)

OK, for those of you who don't have Google's Chrome and a 3,5 yard display like Scott, I'm on my way!

Should even be OK in 800x600 now. I certainly hope nobody is running 640x480 in IE5.5...

Back on topic: Also tested with Konqeuror and looks fine! Only Konqueror takes much longer to load the png's it seems.

The smaller images make the layout look and work fine here. Thanks, Hans.
