One day in mid-November

(That month before December)

My brother and I were walking in a town,

When I spied a little store-front

With a lot of signs, to be blunt,

Obsessed with showing Microsoft's renown.

So I stepped across the threshold,

For to make an inquiry bold:

"May a customer a Linux system choose?"

Then the owner answered clearly,

With an affirmation: "Here, see?

We give our newbies Linux Mint to use!"

My Dear August Gus III,

As they ask.

However, keep it terse

and in verse.

A little town

Of no renown

Has a computer store

Where one can buy

Or simply try

The Linux dist-du-jour.

(Sorry, but I gotta go back to work. )-:

@skelband, I sympathize with your skepticism, but I don't give away my wanderings. There's too much associated with this nym.

I'll simply say that a tiny Midwestern town has a single-proprietor PC shop, and when I asked the owner if he sold Linux systems, he made a point of telling me that his basic intro system was Linux Mint.

Linux in general, and Linux Mint in particular, is reaching Heartland, USA.
