Ellison used to boast of Java's safety, and immunity to malware. I guess that was then.

That was when Sun software folks managed it. They were competent. Oracle isn't.

Since that doesn't seem to be getting them any where, may be they ought to sell it to Google for peanuts. otherwise, Java is is going to end up like Siberia, everyone knows where it is but no body wants to go there. :-)
