If I had one of these I think I'd load OpenSUSE on it and use it as a conventional laptop rather than a cloud thing. A 16GB SSD is what I have in my netbook at it's big enough to house the OS, lots of apps, and some data.

The real disk killer is media files, especially video. Avoid those and 16GB is plenty.

Yeah. I've gotten by with an 8GB drive in my Dell Mini 9. I do have to clear out the old kernels every few months.

If there is an SD card slot or if you don't mind an external drive then storage really isn't an issue.

There is, and that's what I use it for.
