The first Linux distribution to switch to MariaDB was Mageia. I find it weird that such an excellent distribution is so often overlooked (ignored?).

Chakra made the switch last month with the 2013.02 release. Perhaps he was just looking at the major players and figured the up comings weren't worth looking at.
