|I remember when I wrote a DOS batch file to handle the swapping of floppy disks for a FORTRAN compile, since the compiler and link library couldn't fit on the same floppy.
A friend looked over my shoulder and said, "That looks like JCL", that is, mainframe Job Control Language.
...and it was.
Most of what I do with shell scripts is customize other's work, because as much as I like to think I have a "clue", I just don't think like a programmer.
