That simple configuration options like this need extra software to adjust.

Really Gnome, do you think people are so stupid that you can't trust them to adjust their own settings?

Who cares about the user!? It's what you can expect when they make it easier for the developer. "Lookie! ....a solution to a problem you didn't even know you had". ;)
