Sure it is ::rolling eyes:: Rather the spin is well-designed to reach HI$ desired "common goal"!

At this point in time i think all the major desktops are a wash.

Unity is firmly Canonical. Gnome is dancing by the RH pipe (when you notice people using Gnome blogs to post RH news you start to wonder). And KDE has gone cloudcoocoolander.

At this point in time i suspect XFCE is perhaps the most "grounded" desktop, as they don't seem to have any big wish to blow up continents to fit some fever drawn map.

These days i have come to rue that i found Maemo interesting, as it seems that all the cr@p going on with the Linux ecosystem these days comes out of people involved with that project.
