Gregg Keizer, who for years has been the Walter Cronkite of Computerworld on the subject of Microsoft (steady, reliable, well-balanced news reporting) has been having what for him is a positive hissy-fit about Windows 10.

His latest: http://www.computerworld.com/article/2984312/microsoft-windo...

Last paragraph: "Users will eventually move to Windows 10; other than switching to an OS X-powered Mac, or an even more drastic move, changing to Linux, they will have little choice in the long term. Pushing unsolicited upgrades to users for short term benefit -- perhaps to meet Microsoft's self-imposed goal of 1 billion devices by mid-2018 -- is short-sighted."

And I wonder if M$ acquired enough extra non-standard revenue from some other source (read NSA) to make it worth risking the backlash from enterprise customers (users have no say anyway, and decided years ago they are helpless victims of an implacable master).
