I've been running MX-17 in a VM since it released in December.

It is highly likely it will soon become my new primary production OS.

It is also, in my opinion, simply the most impressive Debian Stable based distro currently available. Great for both power users and newbies.

Interesting... according to section 1.7 of the MX-17 Users Manual PDF, the awful systemd "virus" is included by default but not enabled.

Correct! It gives you a choice of booting with or without systemd - defaulting to without.
