Where Is Mainstream Video Content On Desktop Linux?

One has to admit, regardless of their feelings of just how idiotic the idea behind Digital Rights Management (DRM) may be, it is frustrating to watch the other two platforms have content we cannot enjoy ourselves.

To be fair, I will remind everyone that we have the ability to use various podcast catching software like Miro and PenguinTV to subscribe to plenty of fantastic DRM-free video content. But let's not kid ourselves. Most young people want to sync their portable video devices to catch the latest episode of their favorite show off of iTunes. It's a fact, ask anyone who enjoys using video iPods and they will tell you.
