Ubuntu One Music has now support for iPhone's new AirPlay technology, which allows users to stream audio, video and image files stored in your Ubuntu One account directly to your Applet TV, stereo device, or any other AirPlay-compatible hardware. The AirPlay technology was made available by Apple via the new iOS 4.2 software update.

Canonical, the company behind the popular Ubuntu operating system, created a few months ago the Ubuntu One Music application for Android and iPhone smartphones. The app can be used to stream your entire music library, stored in your Ubuntu One account to your iPhone or Android device.

Ubuntu One Music will also allow you to listen your favorite music wherever you’re going or wherever you are. Below are some of the highlights of the Ubuntu One Music app for iPhone:

· Streaming over 3G and Wi-Fi connections; · Allows to listen to any synchronized MP3 file from your personal Ubuntu One account; · You can browse songs by artist; · Tap playback screen for album/song shuffle and repeat; · No ads; · Support for iOS 4 multitasking and background audio; · Available only for iOS 4 or higher.

The AirPlay technology lets users stream music throughout their entire house, wirelessly. It will be fully integrated into AV receivers, stereo systems, or speaker docks, in order for you to enjoy your entire iTunes library anytime, and in any room.
