There are not many truly "pocket-oriented" systems in the Linux world. I mean those which are intended to be "installed" on flash drive or CD and run from there. Those which are not intended for full installation. The most famous of them are SLAX and Puppy. Unfortunately, SLAX project is no longer active as such. Initiative for further development of Live pocket-size system based on Slackware now came to another team. They call their baby Porteus.
