The following Linux-based operating systems have been announced last week: Mandriva Linux 2011, Chakra GNU/Linux 2011.09, Ubuntu 11.10 Beta 1 and OpenSUSE 12.1 Milestone 5. In other news: Softpedia took a quick look at the main features of Ubuntu 11.10 Beta 1; The Document Foundation announced the release of the LibreOffice 3.4.3 open source office suite; the GNOME Project released the first Beta version of the upcoming GNOME 3.2 desktop environment. For this week we've also prepared an interesting review for the Battle for Wesnoth 1.8.6 game.
