It appears that new vulnerabilities were found in Linux kernel, this time affecting the Ubuntu 8.04 LTS (Hardy Heron) and Ubuntu 10.10 (Maverick Meerkat) operating systems.

The security flaws can be fixed if you upgrade your system(s) to the linux-image-2.6.24-30 (2.6.24-30.96) package(s) for Ubuntu 8.04 LTS and the linux-image-2.6.35-31 (2.6.35-31.62) package(s) for Ubuntu 10.10 (Maverick Meerkat).
