Because the default Music Lens of Ubuntu 11.10 allows you to only search music imported in the Banshee audio player, the Ubuntu Music Scopes contain Unity Launcher plugins that allows you to search local music in the Rhythmbox, Clementine and Guayadeque music apps, directly from the Unity Dash.

To install the Unity Music Scopes plugins for Rhythmbox, Clementine and Guayadeque in your Ubuntu operating system, open a terminal window (hit the CTRL+ALT+T key combination) and paste the following commands (one by one, hitting Enter after each one):

sudo add-apt-repository sudo ppa:markjtully/ppa sudo apt-get update && sudo apt-get install clementine-scope guayadeque-scope rhythmbox-scope
