Open source project 'La Vida', a game much like The Sims has made a bid to further development of the game by starting a new campaign on indiegogo.com

After three years of development its become clear that the 'La Vida' game project is facing problems in moving forward.

The major problem is that whilst I, project leader and lead developer, am now running my own business as a direct result of involved with all things Linux, I'm not able to make time to continue development!

Support from other developers has been small over the years, which is fine, we can't all be Mozilla or Apache etc. But it means that if development will ever proceed, I'm going to have to make time and turn down paid work to do so!. This is apparently a bad business decision.

I consider La Vida a labour of love and would dearly love to see it in a playable state so that Linux users can have a enjoyable and entertaining Sims like game.

As a result, I've decided to call on the Linux community for support! If you'd enjoy playing a game like this or you'd like to support the advancement of Linux gaming then please show your support by contributing on IndieGoGo.com, heres the link!

As work begins and continues to progress I'll be posting a monthly update to let you all know whats coming up!

Come on guys lets make Linux gaming great!!!
