RealNetworks updates player for Linux RealNetworks released audio and video playback software for use with the Linux operating system. The Seattle-based company made available both the Helix Player--which works with open formats such as Ogg Vorbis--and the RealPlayer 10 for Linux, which is based on Helix software but also plays RealAudio, MP3 and other proprietary formats.
