There have been lots of takes on the raspberry pi, mostly just upping ram, processor and the occasional port change, but many are generally a beefed up pi. Such as Banana Pi. But this one has a spin I have seen in no other.

Although the up is based heavily on the Raspberry Pi and has a compatable header, it gives some and takes some. You fill find that the Audio and Anologue Video ports.

The main difference is the CPU, they swapped out the 900MHz Broadcom ARM SoC, for a x86-based Intel Atom x5-Z8300 soc clocked to 1.33GHz or 1.84GHz.

Specs for the up board

Processor — Intel Atom x5-Z8300 Quad Core clocked at 1.33GHz or 1.84GHz Memory — 1GB DDR3L-1600 RAM, expandable to 2GB Storage — 16GB eMMC flash, expandable to 32GB Networking — Gigabit Ethernet port USB 3.0 port 4x USB 2.0 ports USB 2.0 (header) HDMI port with audio MIPI DSI connector MIPI CSI-2 connector Expansion — Raspberry Pi 2 compatible 40-pin connector for GPIO and serial buses Power — 5V DC input Dimensions — 85.6 x 56.5mm Operating systems — Linux, Android 5.0, Windows 10
