Docomo makes Linux easier

Japan's leading mobile operator, NTT DoCoMo, has just made it even easier for handset vendors to produce smartphones using Linux. It has just launched a common software platform for its 3G FOMA handsets. DoCoMo will license the platform to handset vendors, aiming to improve time-to-market and cost-effectiveness.
