Novell and SUSE's latest Linux offering is very slick, and it's going to impress the business community. The casual home user may feel a little differently, however. Unless you are feeling particularly adventurous and you've got some time on your hands, I'd pass on taking the Beagle for a walk.

What is it like working with the latest and greatest from SUSE/Novell? Let's just say that I really wanted to love this particular distribution. In fact, I was ready and willing. In the end, it was like — not love — with a large helping of respect tossed in. I'll explain as I go along. For now, let's start with a look at a freshly installed SUSE Linux Professional 9.3 desktop.
