Foss.in Marks The Coming Of Age Of Open Source In India

FOSS.in, India’s largest Free and Open Source Software conference, was held in India’s IT capital, Bangalore, from November 29th to December 2nd this year. The event attracted over 2700 attendees indicating the coming of age of the open source, free software movement in India.

FOSS.In — known in its earlier four editions as Linux Bangalore — itself was sponsored by the Ministry of Information and Technology. The event saw four days of ideological debates, tech exchange workshops and interactions with some of the who’s who of the free and open source world. The event covered a wide range of topics related to FOSS technologies, products and initiatives.
