The Linux Link is proud to present the first episode of a new podcast: LaGER (GNU/Linux and Games/Entertainment Radio). LaGER aims to explore the fun side of GNU/Linux focusing on FOSS and commercial game offerings along with other software that helps make GNU/Linux entertaining.

Right now LaGER is intended for a bi-weekly release but things are really beginning to pick up. With two parties interested in co-hosting and bringing with them a slew of experience and ideas it may be difficult not to make this into a weekly podcast.

The first episode sets the stage and focuses mainly on SuperTux and Tux Paint. Listen to the impression these wonderful applications have left on a 7 and 4 year-old. Who says GNU/Linux is too hard to use?

Future episodes promise to keep up with the latest releases and updates in the GNU/Linux gaming community; and discuss hardware issues and software technology in game development.

Shows are available in both OGG and MP3 formats. Crack open a cold one and join us for some fun!
