The first db4objects user conference offers users an opportunity to influence the future of db4objects, learn best practices and have fun.

The only gathering of the entire core contributor team of db4objects will take place in London, England 10-11 July 2006. The dUC, as it is being called, will be held at the Imperial College, South Kensington campus, in the Electrical Engineering building. Users of the increasingly popular object database will have the opportunity to meet the core developer team. They will also be able to influence the 2006/07 roadmap, learn best practices and interact with other users. A few of the topics being offered cover performance tuning, db4o Unbreakable, and replication.

The keynote speakers are Carl Rosenberger, Ted Neward, and Christof Wittig. Carl Rosenberger is the designer and lead developer. Christof Wittig is the CEO of db4objects. Ted Neward heads up Neward and Associates, an independent consulting firm focused on building enterprise systems. Additional speakers include Andrew Cowie of Operational Dynamics, Stefan Edlich of TFH Berlin, and Jim Paterson of Caledonian University.

If you are interested in attending, you can check out the dUC registration page. The early bird discount is available until 20 May, and the saver discount until 20 June. Tickets are available on a first come, first served basis and include meals, refreshments and wireless LAN access.
