Linux users have found their options limited, as iTunes is to this very day still not available on the Linux platform natively. Apple is foolish for ignoring this, but we believe that we have located a better alternative in the video podcast realm than what iTunes was offering anyway - Democracy Player.

Democracy Player (also known as DTV) was hatched from the firm belief that television ought to be as free and open as open source software. So, a group was formed to create an open video distribution platform, one based on open source standards, in which Internet TV could finally have a place to call its own. From this belief, the Democracy Player was born.
