A new release of nettest is available. Nettest is a network testing tool originally developed by SGI which I am maintaining out of need. In this minor update, the following was done:

  • Reverted autofoo - not needed at this time.
  • Removed DWAIT3 - modern unices support it.
  • Removed NAMEDPIPES - see DWAIT3.
  • Dropped sysV support.

There are still some TODOs before I flip nettest into 3.0 and maintenance mode:

  • Integrate FreeBSD and NetBSD patches to reduce porting problems.
  • Decide what to do with NO_ISO and the remaining older platform(s) support.
