Two Laptops Per Child: A New Commercial Concept

In my previous articles, I have talked about the OLPC (One Laptop Per Child) project, how it works, what the software looks like and the version of Linux it runs. Well, it seems that since last month, we have the opportunity to not only purchase a little green notebook for a child overseas, but we will even be able to finally get one of these green monsters for ourselves, too.

The only other company that I know of with anything even close to this is ASUS and its Eee PC 700. This notebook seems to capture what most people are using them for - browsing the Internet and communication. However, it only has a couple of gigabytes of storage just enough for most people to get all that excited about. I tend to question the value here, especially considering the payment put forth is not refundable.
