Java could survive if they'd finally open the sources. OO will survive, no matter whatever happens to StarOffice. And Solaris has some very good and interesting techniques, but so do the BSDs.

All in all, IMHO they still make nice hardware. But on every SunFire V40z (or whatever they are called) I would install Debian. And Xen.

Nothing can stop FOSS - at least not a company whose managers are without a clue...
